Sammelman Road Curve Improvement 2021

UPDATE 08/19/21 SAMMELMAN ROAD WORK DELAYED

Construction work on Sammelman Rd. paused because of a delay receiving materials needed for the stormwater upgrades. Construction will begin again once these essential materials are received, ideally next week 08/23/21. The Cities of Weldon Spring & St. Peters are watching the issue closely and will provide updates as they are received.
 
The Contractor has until 09/01/21 to complete the project and are still in the window of time expected of four to five weeks for the road closure. Both Weldon Spring & St. Peters appreciate the continued patience of those most affected by the closure. (UPDATE 07/26 ) SAMMELMAN ROAD TO CLOSE COMPLETELY STARTING FRIDAY JULY 30, 2021

Beginning FRIDAY JULY 30, 2021, Sammelman Road will close bi-directionally between Lucerne Manor Drive and Ehlmann Farms Drive. This closure is happening to expedite a road safety improvement to the first 90-degree curve west of Pitman Hill Road. The full road closure is expected to last four to five weeks. The contractor has until September to complete the construction.
Traffic is required to use an alternate route during the construction. Signs notifying motorists of the closure and necessary detours will be posted. The detour route includes portions of Pitman Hill Road and through the Highlands Subdivision.
