St. Charles County Government has several programs available to provide home repair, property improvement and transportation assistance to eligible persons who live in “St. Charles Urban County,” which includes the cities of Cottleville, Dardenne Prairie, Lake St. Louis, St. Paul, St. Peters, Weldon Spring, Wentzville and the unincorporated area of St. Charles County. The County receives Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) annually to provide services for low to moderate income persons within these areas. St. Charles County Government administers the funds and the City of St. Peters administers the programs.
Assistance programs include:
The Emergency Repair Program, which provides a loan of up to $5,000 to income qualifying households for emergency repairs. The loans are at 0% interest, and if the applicant lives in their home for a period of 5 years after receiving the loan, the loan is completely forgiven.
The Home Improvement Loan Program, which provides a loan of up to $5,000 to income qualifying households. The loans are at 0% interest, and if the applicant lives in their home for a period of 5 years after receiving the loan, the loan is completely forgiven.
The Property Maintenance Program, which provides a grant of up to $2,500 to income-eligible households to address certain property code violations.
The Transportation Services Program, which provides transportation for eligible residents for necessary medical, shopping, and other essential services.

Notice of Funding Availability
The Community Assistance Board of St. Charles County is accepting online applications for funding from the Urban County’s 2021 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Services funds. Non-profit agencies may apply for these funds to provide community services to the low-income residents of St. Charles Urban County. Application deadline is 16 December 2021. The agencies can apply online with the username/password provided. First-time applicant agencies or agencies who are not provided username/password, please contact Pinar Turker - pturker@sccmo.org.
