On April 27, 2020, Governor Mike Parson released guidelines for the Show-Me Strong Recovery Phase 1. These guidelines are a strategic approach to “re-opening” the Missouri’s economy.
These guidelines can be summarized to the following for Weldon Spring Businesses:
Retail places engaging the public must limit the number of customers based on the workplace’s fire or building code*:
For businesses less than 10,000 square feet, business must maintain 25 percent or less of the authorized occupancy. (i.e. Code allows 50 people normally, that business can only have 12 people in their location)
For businesses greater than 10,000 square feet, business must maintain 10 percent or less of the authorized occupancy. (i.e. Code allows 1250 people normally, that business can only have 125 people in their location)
*Note: Employees and vendors are excluded from this formula.
Restaurants may offer dining-in services, provided that the limitations on social distancing and other precautionary health measures are adhered to. These measures include:
Proper spacing of at least six feet between tables
Lack of communal seating areas to parties that are not connected.
Having no more than ten (10) people at a single table
Medical providers may provide usual services at their discretion.
These guidelines shall remain in effect until May 31, 2020 but could be extended or adapted by the State of Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
