The annual food/non-perishable item and pet supply drive is kicking off on November 1, 2018 and will conclude on January 4, 2019. We hope that you will take some time over the holiday season to pick up a donation and drop it by City Hall.

Bi-City Holiday Food Drive

The 9th Annual Bi-City Holiday Food Drive is currently underway and will be ending on January 4th, 2019. Weldon Spring is competing against the city of Cottleville in the annual food drive. Entering into the holiday season last year we were pleasantly surprised by the generosity of the Weldon Spring community. We are hoping to count on an even larger amount of donations this year. We are looking for non-perishable food items and toiletries; such as cereal, dry pasta, sauce, canned goods, baby diapers, toothpaste, shampoo, cleaning supplies, etc. All of the items collected in Weldon Spring will go to Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service. It is the largest social services provider for individuals, families, and children in the Tri-county area of St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please make checks payable to “Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service”.

The City will also be collecting donations for Five Acres Animal Shelter. Formally known as the St. Charles Humane Society, this is the only “No-Kill” shelter in St. Charles County. They can use Purina Dog and Puppy food as well as kitten chow.  New and gently used towels and blankets, beds, collars, and leaches are also welcomed and appreciated. Monetary gifts are accepted, checks cab be made payable to “Five Acres Animal Shelter”.

A donation box will be inside of the City Hall lobby which is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and a drop off box on the front porch of City Hall for weekend donations.

We would like to share and help spread goodwill and cheer to those who are less fortunate. Please consider making a donation especially as the holiday season is fast approaching. This is a great way to help teach your children and grandchildren that the holidays are more about giving than receiving.

Something new this year for the Annual Food Drive

For any donation of 20 or more food or pet items donated or for a monetary donation of $20.00 or more to either Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service or Five Acres Animal Shelter you will receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win a beautiful Holiday Lantern. The Lantern is approximately 20” high by 8” wide.  It is metal and lights up with your choice of a steady, flashing or fading lights. This is a beautiful hand-crafted gift for you or someone on your holiday shopping list. It is valued at over $60.00.
