Update 8/20/24 Blue-Green Algae Bloom at City Park Lake

08/20/2024 City Staff have tested City Park Lake for Blue-Green Algae today 08/20. The test came back negative. We have re-opened City Park Lake for fishing. We will retest in a few weeks. At which point we may have to close the lake again. Thank you for your patience. 


08/05/2024 City staff noticed a suspected Blue-Green Algae Bloom at City Park Lake this week, and out of caution, the lake has been closed for all use. The bloom is being treated, and the MO DNR will help find causes and solutions. Swimming and wading are always prohibited, and fishing is temporarily banned. Keep pets away from the water.
