The City of Weldon Spring will close Wolfrum Road between Patriotic Trail and Missouri Research Park Circle, weather permitting, Monday, June 6, through completion of the projects, to replace a culvert.
Traffic will be required to use an alternate route around the closure while the culvert is being replaced. Local traffic can access either side of the closure location, but no through traffic will be permitted. Signs notifying motorists of the closure and necessary detours will be posted.
An existing 100-foot-long 60-inch diameter corrugated metal pipe has failed on Wolfrum Road, just south of Patriotic Trail and north of the Missouri Research Park Circle at I-64. The City has contracted Kolb Grading after a bidding process. Kolb Grading was the lowest total lump sum for the project at $95,308.80. The City requested lump sum bids to replace the 100-foot-long pipe with a 60 -inch diameter polypropylene pipe, reconstruct the failed embankment, reconstruct the pavement, traffic control, and restoration of the disturbed areas.
