Here is the latest news and updates regarding the Independence Road Phase III project. Major construction began in April of 2016 and the target completion date was April 2, 2017 but due to numerous delays it is estimated the project will not be completed until late spring.

This year's Holiday Coloring Contest will likely challenge the Mayor to pick there very best and most creative young artist in the community. Contestants can download the coloring pages by age category here and return their completed master pieces to City Hall by December 19th.

On Saturday, June 18th at 9:00 AM, The City of Chesterfield held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the trail system connecting over the Boone Bridge. Mayor Licklider was also on hand to say a few words and cut the ribbon for the ceremony.

The City is currently working on three major road projects each is in a various stages of development. Weldon Spring Parkway Phase 2 is expected to be completed by the end of March 2016. While Independence Road Phases 3 will just be gearing up in February of this year with major construction beginning this spring through fall. The City held a Public Forum/Open House to present and display the preliminary design plans of Independence Road Phase 4. This was held on Thursday, November 19th from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. If you missed this meeting or would simply like another chance to view the preliminary design plans for the proposed roadway improvement the plans are available here to view or download. This will be the fourth and final phase of roadway improvements proposed for Independence Road.

St. Louis Bicycle Works will be holding another Bike Drive on June 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at City Hall. So if you have an unused bicycle laying around drop it off and Bicycle Works will put it to good use. Bike Works helps youths by teaching them about bicycle safety and maintenance through their Earn-A-Bike Program.
